An interesting race for the ‘boys’ with DOLLAR INDEX the top pick for Mathieu Brasme. The son of Kendargent made an excellent debut for second over C&D last month, form boosted when the fifth, AGAT, went on to win last week. The selection is taken to go one better under Augustin Madamet.

At more generous odds, I like the chance of the once raced, MEAUTIS (Each Way) for Alessandro & Giuseppe Botti. A colt by Sea The Moon, he made a highly encouraging debut at Fontainebleau in November. On and off the bridle throughout, the penny finally dropped in the closing stages and he makes plenty of appeal under the excellent Cristian Demuro.

SULEYMAN gets the verdict following an eye-catching run on debut over C&D last month. The handsome colt by Sea The Stars stayed on for a never nearer fourth, a place behind the more experienced Milad and 2½ lengths ahead of the fifth, fellow debutant Presomption. Alexis Pouchin maintains the partnership on the Stephane Wattel 4YO.
